In conjunction with the auction, a visiting artist demonstrates as a part of the Conference. We are pleased to announce Lee Sauder and James Austin as the 2017 visiting artists. Former visiting artists have included Jake James, Seth Gould, David Clemons, Wendell Broussard, Joe Muench, and John Haley III, just to name a few.
The University Museum is located a short walk away, at Room 2469, 1000 Faner Dr, Carbondale, IL 62901 This location will hold both the Artist Lecture and the “Forge, Form, and Fabricate” Exhibition.

located at the iconic Pulliam Hall here on the SIU campus. This location will hold the day long Demonstration by our visiting artist, as well as offer visitors a peek at our legendary smithy.
Dinner & Auction

The Auction will be held at the famous 17th St. BBQ, a locally owned BBQ joint and event house situated at 32 N 17th St, Murphysboro, IL 62966
This is only a 15 minute drive from the Kington Smithy, and well worth it.
One ticket allows access to day long demonstration, and fancy evening auction with dinner. Drinks are available.
